Programs

KHALBALI
- Khalbali is a community mobilization event which is conducted on a monthly / quarterly basis
- During this event a team of volunteer educators and Community volunteers from different villages visit the different bastis and hamlets of the villages
- During the drive awareness material on different programmes of Yuva Ekta India Foundation are disseminated among the community at large
- The elected representatives, anganwadi workers and self-help group members participate in the process.

SHIKSHA KA SAATH
- Under this project through a team of volunteer educators the ability of children to read, write, calculate and use information is developed through hourly sessions and workshops
- In addition to the remedial classes other activities are also facilitated which includes – leadership sessions, art and craft workshops, poetry workshop, music and drama
- One of the key components of the educational project is also setting up of village libraries in government schools in and around the villages of Sohna Block of Gurgaon.
- The school students are also trained on the skill and knowledge of running libraries in their own school.

NUKKAD SABHA
- Nukkad Sabha Is a community event in which issues concerning young people are discussed in a group with the objective of generating awareness on education and youth employability
- Some of issues discussed in Nukkad Sabha are education and employment of girls, challenges faced by young people in accessing employment opportunities etc
- One of the uniqueness of Nukkad Sabha is that questions asked by the community are addressed through suggestions provided by people from the community
- A Nukkad Sabha is facilitated with the support of an community volunteers and can be done in partnership with a Government School

PARAMARSH
- Under this project at the end of the academic year sessions are organized in which free career counselling is provided to families and students from class VIII to class XII
- The teachers of the government schools are involved in the process
- The elected representatives namely Sarpanch and Panch members are involved in mobilizing the community at large to participate in the process

SHIKSHA AUR KAUSHAL MELA
- Shikhsha Aur Kaushal Medl is a once a year intervention in which an educational and skill development fair is organized in one of the villages of the Sohna Block.
- During the fair schools, colleges, educational institutes from Gurugam are invited to share different opportunities of education and skill development
- The Sarpanch and Panch members and teachers of the adjoining villages are invited and encouraged to share their experiences and commitment to education, vocational training and overall development of the youth

YUVA KAUSHAL CENTRE
- Yuva Kausal is a skill development initiative under which vocational training is provided to adolescent and youth on computers and languages
- The beneficiaries includes boys, girls, men and women etc. The women are also provided employability skills training and training on entrepreneurship
- They are also encouraged to pursue self-employment opportunities and receive mentoring under the employee engagement programmes of different companies under their HR department of part of Corporate Social Responsibility

SWACHTA AUR SANRAKSHAN
- Swachta aur Sanrakshan is a unique community driven programme aimed at initiating water conservation efforts at grass root level
- The project aims at promoting cleanliness, water conservation and plantation interventions in both urban and rural areas
- The activities under the project are planned in collaboration with Panchyats, Women’s Groups, Self Help Groups, Village Level Committees and other non-profit organizations

SWASTHA SOHNA
- Swachta aur Sanrakshan is a unique community driven programme aimed at initiating water conservation efforts at grass root level
- The project aims at promoting cleanliness, water conservation and plantation interventions in both urban and rural areas
- The activities under the project are planned in collaboration with Panchyats, Women’s Groups, Self Help Groups, Village Level Committees and other non-profit organizations
